The Florida Turnpike Authority commissioned May & Watkins to create a series of sculptures to surround the water retention pond at the Turkey Lake Service Plaza. The Turnpike commuter, who sees the art as he drives by, is the major viewing audience.

May & Watkins created fourteen tall, brightly colored, kinetic wind vane sculptures that would be highly visible while driving. The sculptures also change direction throughout the day.
